06 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions about construction material prices

Is comparing construction material prices really free?

Yes. The Bâtir à Rabais application is entirely free. You only pay to reveal the actual store names: 1% of your list (maximum $49) per reveal, or $49 per month for unlimited access. For a single renovation project per year, the free plan is more than enough.

Where do the material prices come from?

Public weekly flyers from Quebec hardware stores, official retailer catalogs and Google Shopping. No scraping, nothing unlawful. The same public data that Flipp and Reebee rely on, applied to your construction materials list.

How accurate are the compared material prices?

We cover 80 to 90% of popular construction and renovation SKUs in Quebec. For the remaining items, we mark them "verify in store". We prefer acknowledging uncertainty over displaying an estimated price.

When will Bâtir à Rabais be available in Quebec?

Private beta from May to August 2026, open to waitlist subscribers. Public Quebec launch in September 2026. Sign up to be notified first.

I’m a materials retailer: how can I receive qualified leads?

Bâtir à Rabais forwards partner hardware stores qualified leads with the complete shopping list and confirmed purchase intent. $25 per lead, no monthly commitment. Email partenaires@batirarabais.ca.
